At the beginning of this summer I tried to get out of my office once or twice a week to work on sermons, visioning, and other creative projects. I usually ended up on the second floor of our local public library. This change of scenery and getting away from office distractions really helped me to focus and do some good forward looking work.
Unfortunately, I lost track of that discipline, so today I decided to dive back in. I drove to the Mall of the Millenia in Orlando. It was about a 30 minute drive which was great for giving me a buffer and transition time. Now I'm sitting in the "guy holding area" of the mall in a very comfy chair. This is a mall I'd never shop at, but it's a good place to people watch and be engulfed by the hum of people going about their day.
